English Fake News Analysis A. Fake News is false or misleading information presented as news. Fake news often has the aim of damaging the reputation of a person or entity, or making money through advertising revenue. B. Before begin the process of spotting fake news, I need to understand there are three main types to recognize: 1. False Stories: While these stories may appear to be news, they are completely fabricated. They are typically created in order to sell a specific product, entice the reader to visit a specific website, or simply to mislead the reader into believing something false. 2. Half-truths are much more difficult to detect because they contain elements of truth mixed in with falsehoods and misrepresentations.
